Die-struck lapel pin badges are made with no enamel badges and finished with different metallic effects and coatings, but they have no colored enamel fill. Effects include sandblasting or adding a background texture to create something more interesting. Antique plating can add a nice contrast badge where the recessed areas are slightly darker due to the polishing process. These can be used to significant effect in reward structures, for example, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
